Featuring the latest in golf equipment and apparel, our knowledgeable staff is available to assist with custom club fitting services or individualized product recommendations tailored to your specific needs, as well as tee time reservations, league play and reciprocal playing privileges.
Popular junior golf summer camps and individually tailored coaching programs are fun and engaging. Family tees help to make the course more fun and accessible for our younger members. Children and youth of all ages and abilities grow a love for the game from a young age and make friendships to last a lifetime.
In 2017 St. George’s welcomed Ian McQueen as Golf Course and Property Manager. Ian brings to St. George’s over 14 years of superintendent experience, most notably his involvement in the construction and grow-in of over four golf courses and 80 putting greens.
In 1999, Ian graduated from The Turf Management Program at Penn State University. During his time at Penn State, he completed a successful internship at Caves Valley Golf Club in Baltimore Maryland, and upon completion of the program, he became the Assistant Superintendent during construction of Magna Golf Club. In 2003, Ian went on to become the Golf Course Superintendent at The Club at Bond Head overseeing the construction and grow-in of two new 18 hole golf courses. During his nine years as Superintendent at The Club at Bond Head, Ian was responsible for implementing a wide range of agronomic programs, establishing and maintaining healthy bentgrass, with a focus on environmental sustainability.
In 2012, Ian accepted the position of Golf Course Superintendent at Islington Golf Club. Under his leadership, Ian and his staff successfully navigated many challenges including a flood and in 2014 a complete rebuild of the old poa greens to new USGA greens.
With more than 25 years of industry experience, Mark Burke combines great knowledge with his creativity, passion and insightful teaching style to provide his students with world-class coaching. Mark has dedicated his professional career to studying the art and science of golf, which has helped him develop a very simple style of delivering information to improve performance.
His passion for knowledge has taken him all over Canada and the United States, where he has worked and learned from the greatest golf educators of our time, such as David Leadbetter, Fred Shoemaker, Mark Evershed, Ben Kern, and performance coach Joseph Parent. Mark also worked as a lead coach at The Core Golf Academy in Florida, and was mentored under Tiger Woods’ swing coach, Sean Foley, as well as James Leitz (Trackman specialist).
At St. George’s, Mark has been instrumental in bringing a world-class golf instruction program to our members. Through the use of innovative coaching styles and integrating state of the art technological aids, Mark assists members in lowering their scores through measurable feedback. Mark is responsible for operating the Learning Center and Indoor Learning Centre facilities that offer individualized coaching programs from Juniors through to Senior members.
Originally from London, Ontario, Alan spent most of his childhood in Montreal, Quebec. It was at The Royal Montreal Golf Club where Alan’s love for golf was nurtured. His golf skills were honed through competitive play, representing Royal Montreal as a junior/amateur golfer. His love for the game would grow into a passion for the business and operational side of golf. Alan is a graduate of Georgian College`s Business Administration – Professional Golf Management program, where he played on the Georgian Grizzlies men`s varsity golf team.
With over 15 years of private club management experience, and proven successes at notable clubs such as Royal Montreal, The Country Club at Brookline, Augusta National, Casa de Campo, Beacon Hall, Jasper Park LodgeWidely and a previous post at St. George’s, Alan is recognized as an industry leader and mentor to fellow Golf Professionals. Alan drew on his many professional experiences over the last 15 years to help establish the Professional Development and Mentorship programs currently used by the PGA of Canada.

Alan is also part of the Titleist / FootJoy (Acushnet Canada) Leadership Advisory Staff, and a member of the POLO Ralph Lauren Advisory Board.
Prior to joining St. George’s G&CC as Head Golf Professional, in May 2019, Alan was Director of Golf at Shaughnessy G&CC (Vancouver, BC), host of the 1948, 1966, 2005 and 2011 Canadian Open.
